T-Minus 2 Days!

We can’t even begin to describe how excited we are to begin the People’s Markets again this Wednesday!

In it’s fourth season, the People’s Market is excited to announce our new location this summer at the Base of Snow King.  Ride your bike, take a walk and come enjoy Wednesdays at Snow King.  The People’s Market is an ongoing program of Slow Foods in the Tetons.  Slow Food in the Tetons promotes good, clean, and fair food in our community through educational programing, events, and initiatives.

” The People’s Market exists to build community through food, art, music and family, while celebrating products produced locally. “

The People’s Market incorporates all aspects of the community by providing a venue to gather and enjoy what Teton County and the surrounding areas produce. The market will provide a venue for farmers, food producers, artists, musicians and brewers. If we are what we eat, choosing foods from the Teton eco-system will produce an amazing, strong and beautiful community.

The People’s Market presents the Bike-In Movies Series, which is thrilled to be returning to Snow King where the stadium seating and great natural acoustics create a thrilling experience.  The movies will be directly after every People’s Market in August.  Last year we played Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure, The Great Outdoors, Sandlot and Willow.  Pay attention for the announcement of this years line-up.    Food, Beverages and Popcorn will be served at every movie.

The People’s Market is not only moving our location to Snow King, but we are also expanding the products we have to offer with more farmers, more vendors and more beers.  Three additional farmers, Green Thumb Nursery, Generation Farms and Flower Airstream, will be joining Cosmic Apple Gardens and Snowdrift Farms this season.  We have wonderful prepared food from the Everest Momo Shack, Picas and Dragonlady Teas, (making fresh salads).  We also have vendors providing local cheeses, popcorn, baked goods, humus, local eggs, Gluten Free Pastas and gluten free baked goods.  Roadhouse Brewery, Snake River Brewing and Thai Me Up will be pouring beer this summer.  We also have many wonderful local crafters selling clothing, personal care, jewelry, glasswork, prints, art and many other locally made items.

The People’s Market Thanks You!

We want to give a huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the People’s Market in 2012!  Let’s make 2013 an even better year!  We can’t wait to see you at our new location at the base of Snow King starting Wednesday, June 19th!

NEW LOCATION FOR 2013!
